Anyone else have a bad rattle in the passenger side, defroster vent area of the dash? The dash and the defroster vent vibrate against eachother and it drives me nuts. Any other fixes besides stuffing foam between the two? Thanks

Maybe you should first fix the source of the vibration - get your tires balanced. Then drop the glove box and look for the loose components. Ty-wrap, tape, stuff with foam, glue if you must to stop the rattle, but the vibration is the real problem. The rattle is just annoying.

Yep, more good advice from Scott! My dash was rattling something terrible, never thought that it was the alignment. Had new tires put on and aligned and - guess what - no more dash vibrations!!

Scott is there anything I can use to stregthen the center area of the dash where the radio mounts? The shake when hitting bumps was ok stock but now with the drop it just rams them hard and makes my CD skip left and right. Anything out there I can buy to add some rigitity to it?

You'd have to look under the dash to see if there is any place to install a support brace to the floor at the center console area. I haven't had the need to do this even with the relatively stiff suspension on my car and 266,000 miles of wear, so go for it.

What really doesnt help my setup is my 235/40/18 tires and 18" rims which dont offer much support.

Also because even when I go over big dips I only get about less than a inch of movement.
