We do ship to Canada, though it costs more. I just need a zip code.

The CF hoods weight around 20lbs less then fiberglass.

Hey thats my job!

Did, but the company shut down. Tim (toolman) had it all setup then next thing ya know... no mo hoods. :(

It would be sweet if we could start another GB on genI hoods. Only problem is finding enough intrest.

Yeah, doing "pre-orders" and group buys on parts for niche vehicles it tough. I go through it all the time making parts for specific vehicles. And you can't expect a company to just go ahead and make them, with no sign that they will sell all of them, just because a handfull of people want them.

Getting people interested isn't the problem.... getting them to pay is the real story :snicker:

I might well be interested but I'd want something with OE-quality finish and sufficient reinforcement to bolt to the stock hinges and latch, not a tissue-thin race part.

The c/f gen1 plus hoods made by CF1 were exactly that.

Why does nobody make them for Gen1s?
When we started a group buy, we took peoples word on interest for the hoods. After I sacraficed my plus hood to the manufacturer and we started to get them made. Next came the time to pony up the money. Suddenly the interest was gone. I got burned with the CF plus spoiler too. The hoods were very good quality, but the manufacture closed shop. I was still owed a hood that I never got and some spoilers.

CF1 Hoods had reinforced the hinges and molded a steel plate for the latch. They used a marine grade UV proof finish on the hood. The quality was really good and very well made. It was too bad that they closed shop, but when it came time for people to actually buy the hoods, the buyers disappeared.
