More than that, by the way. Though year and options alter the numbers a bit, its best to figure 3500 lbs. as an average, wet. Mine, with about half a tank of gas, tipped at 3447 lbs. on a calibrated truck scale, and from back when this was a topic a few times here and over on V8SHO, I seem to recall I was toward the lower side of the range.

If you can get to under 3000 without gutting it, I would be impressed. However, what you have is a good start. Keep it up. Stuff like that is free performance all around.

I seem to recall back in the mists of time that one enterprising soul took out his whole interior and removed all of the sound deadening materials and made a fairly impressive pile of weight reduction.

Yeah, there's always the "Zach Attack" approach to vehicular slimming.

Also note -

I've seen the posts lately asking about exhaust modification options.

Without a doubt the best sounding (To Me) exhaust is this, sound clips in the link at the bottom.

Please look at the pix about halfway down, see the rear half of the system deleted? Yeah baby, that is some measurable weight reduction. :)

I will also say that I have had Flowmaster, Magnaflow, and Bullets in cars that I have owned - all at the same time so I could do side by side comparisons - and I personally think the Magnaflow sounds the best out of those three.
Bullets are a little 'poppy' at idle and Flowmasters are just raw at times. Magnaflow handles all rpm ranges beautifully, IMNSHO.

Price reflects how desperate folks are to give the Gen III a leg up. Dump your rear seat, lose the spare, and maybe even get a racing battery, and this is just a start.

Still a bit steep for me. Any way to take it down a bit more if we can get 10? I realize this sharply drops off the likelihood of it happening. Maybe your original plan of 5 takers plus no extra cost for a color weave?

Aww man, you're killing me. So much for the art of negotiation.

You can include me as a tentative taker, though I'll still need details hammered about before committing that much dough (with and without color weave). The financial AWA will no doubt have something to say about it as well . . .
