Hood Insulation

Is the insulation under the hood that says, "SHO" on it really necessary? All it does is flake off onto my engine, or make bad rub makes on the intake (motor mounts are an upcomming project). I don't want to throw it out because it's a stock part, but it's starting to get on my nerves.

almost. Youd be very surprised at how much noise that one peice of insulation cuts down on noise.

Try it out, if you don't like it...find another one for cheap.
