Honestly, is it worth putting the money back into this car?

So if you are getting 3500-4000 offers for the broken car and know someone who has an engine for 3500, would you sell it for that and connect the buyer with the seller of the engine? ~7K does not sound too bad for the package, even though one has to spend a few K's for the swap. Still under 10K total with a replace/fresh motor if you would sell it for that??

That’s my plan right now, just getting all my paperwork straight should be sold next couple weeks here

24 hours is WAY too much. I watched a video of a Ford tech do a timing and water pump on non-turbo V6 and he said the labor charge was 8 hours. The total cost of the job was around $1500. So $3500 is absurd. I know things are expensive in SF, but damn!
