I purchased my SHO with holes in the front bumper. I needed to get a car fast and decided I would live with it. I just couldn't stop looking at it. I came up with this idea to help ease my disorder.
Purchased an assortment pack of plastic barbed trim retainers from auto parts store also available individualy at Ace hardware.

I picked two of the size I liked and sanded the surface and edge with 400 grit sandpaper.
Washed with soap and water and dryed.
Painted with touch up paint and clear coat.

Here is one installed, one not.

It's not perfect like a new bumper but I feel a lot better looking at it every day.

Awesome idea! I'm definitely stealing that from you! LOL

When I picked up my SHO a few weeks back, it was the same salesman I've used before and he knows I hate front plates. Unfortunately, he didn't get to the prep guys before they attached the front plate bracket. Seeing your idea has certainly given me hope! The plugs look like radar sensors that are on almost every new car anymore.

That looks really good, as others have said it looks like senors. My question is, how do you get the stupid bracket off in the first place? :oogle:

I bought my car from Ohio and they also have front plates and I was disappointed to find the holes when removing. I did the same thing to mine but used a drill bit to drill the holes slightly larger and clean up the bulging plastic around the hole. Got it drilled to size and plugged it. It was better than holes but I was never happy with it. Ended up hitting a deer and having the bumper replaced so now I don't have any holes.
