Hissing sound

To day I took the top part of the console out and I had the car running and I can hear a hissing sound comming from what appears to be is the shifter area. BTW I have an ATX.

Spray ether/starter fluid at the hiss and see what happens.

That hissing is from the automatic e-brake release control on the shifter.

Yup, I'd say that you have a vacuum leak there.
