Hissing noise from front of engine

I have noticed after I turn my car off and get out I hear a hissing noise coming from the front of the car that fades away after 30 seconds or so, is this normal? anyone know what it is?

If you have any sort of CAI/Cone Filter setup it could be normal as well, I hear that some times on mine. On mine that's normal.

Would noise like that from the AC be normal or would it mean a problem? The previous owner replaced the entire system and it is currently blowing nice and cold.

it would be normal - its just the pressure bleeding off across the compressor.

When I first read this I thought you were referring to the catalytic converter, hahaha.
