Since some of us weren't driving before 1978, let alone born yet, you might be interested in this article about Highway 100. Borrowed from BCM, so enjoy! :)

“Quit that pit” and go to MATC? Back in the day kids were not as smart as they are today. A high school diploma in better then GED right? Wonder if he still pumps gas? Haha! Nice find, thank you for sharing.

Around here it was cool to cruise Pacific Ave in Tacoma (according to my dads 60 year old friend Ed). Well one day I'd like to be "that old cool guy" with the huge hurkin hot rod Galaxie. Wake all the neighbors up at 6:00am so I can warm it up for the day and go on a Sunday drive with the Mrs.

There is a guy in my neighborhood that has an old Chevrolet and any time his friends come over it looks like a parade coming down the street. A very very loud, shiney old people parade.

Let's put this into perspective here. If I calculate correctly, You were born the year Graduated High School. (+or- a year)

Ugh - I should not have done that...

Age is strictly a case of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

Truer words have not been written.

Now, back to the topic at hand.

Alright, I wasn't driving in '78 but I was 13.

As far as the so called GED guy goes, I just want to say watch what you let come out of your mouth. IF you put your mind to something, you CAN do what you need to. I am a "GED" person and have my own business with six other people renting from me. WHATEVER you put out there is exactly what you will get back, good or bad! I chose to put happiness, success, and more out there......... What are all of you doing?

Just my .02 cents worth.

Have a great weekend.:)

Sorry didn’t mean to offend anyone, some times kids have to drop out (family, medical, and ext.) for some reason or another. It just seemed like the guy with the GTO was a young cocky kid wanting to give up on school so he could work at a gas station and put more money is his GTO. My comment was more aiming at him. But a high school diploma does look better on a resume then a GED, and when I say that I'm not trying to hurt your creditably. Yes you can do whatever you put your mind to...even make millions of dollars, it has been done and lots of people have done it. I'm in the Air Force as a Firefighter part time and a full time security guard going to school. When MFD hires again they will take a person with a HSD over a person with a GED any day unless there is some other reason for hire. That's the way it is in the job market for big and small business.

Thanks,

Josh

No offfense taken. Just tryin' to make a point. Yes, some things look better on resume's, no mistaken that. A person will definitely get back what they put out there good or bad, successful or not.

Going to the convention?????

Nothing looks better to me than having your own successful business- and not NEEDING a resume!

Kudos, KickinSHO! :thumb:
