I have been having a problem with the drivers side wiper missing large areas of
the windshield...so,I bought these high tech one piece wipers...no improvement
when I returned them the parts guy said I may have weak springs in the arms!
IS this a real possibility(sounds valid on a 17 yr old car) and how the heck do you get new springs/arms?????
any ideas...

thanks

I have a set of double blade wipers that work better than any other wiper I've ever had. I recommend them to anyone who drives in the rain a lot.

to add to the subject at hand....
pick up some Rain-X.... :naughty:
After i give the windsheild a good coat, i find myself not having to turn the wipers on (well in light-medium rain anyways) stuff last for a few months... but that depends on how much you use the wipers though.

Wow....I just kinda bent my wiper arm towards the windshield a little bit and solved that problem. The nice thing about them "high tech" wipers that you're talking about is that they actually work on the highway rather than just skipping around like normal wipers do. I need to pick up another pair for my 95....

Thats what i do as well. Between rainx and the fancy flat wiper blades from autozone (i spent 40 bucks for them) my windshield is perfect in the rain. My blades dont make any noise either. They look pretty cool too hehe. I got hooked on these fancy blades when we were trained at my work on the new 07 tahoes. Chevy puts the fancy flat blade technology on all their new stuff and they are pretty slick blades. Definately worth the money :thumb:

ok...
I tried and tried to bend to proper shape but they sprung right back to original and anyway,If I spend $40 on a pair of blades and have to bend the sh_ _ out of them...no,no
I really liked the quiet and they were quiet!!!
The arms are probably to blame...I will re-purchase (on net..$20 cheaper) when I get the new arms
and yes, rainex works great!
But if its a mechinacal issue,I would rather get It fixed..and THEN do the Rainex!!
