Ok just got my inspection sticker today, and the inspector dude, who was real cool about the crack on the side of my winshield,

(at another station the lady flipped out that I had a crack in it and said I couldn't have one b/c since it is on the winshield it obstucted my vision, even though the damn thing is only by the bottom corner where the sticker goes so my view would be obstructed anyway! <-- :bs: )*

He also mentioned that my high mount light was out, no biggy here unlike b/s windshield cracks, that he had heard cops love to pull guys my age over for "probable cause" b/c the top light is out. I knew it had gone out, and was planning on fixing it, but that moved this lilte pos d.i.y. job close to the top o' my list o' crap to do. I pulled the spoiler tonight and got the lamp fixture out n/p, but Is there easy** way to do this job without buying the $$$$ ford replacement or running out to a junkyard. I read the shotimes article, and a few posts here, but they seemed a lil close really fregin hard. Any help would be greatly apreciated! Thanks

*sorry about the little rant on Louisiana laws, but everyonce in awhile the retards over in Baton Rouge get on my nerves for some of the B/s the pull
** I know nothing's easy w/ these cars, but ****, thats what make's 'em so damn fun! :burn_out: (ex. axidently dropped like a qt and a half of oil my dive way when I pulled the oil pan drain plug to change the oil, I didnt have the bucket back enough lol :bonk: )

Do any of the lights work?

Do you have current to the third brake light?

I would take a multi-meter to it and see if one of the diodes did not blow.

Or you can take the whole thing into Radio Shack and ask for help finding replacement parts and start soldering them in.
