The person I got the car from said it was the coil packs, and it needs new brakes and the exhaust is rusted up but I don't have the money to fix it right now I just moved in to a new place I got the car because a friend owed me money.

It's a SHO. That's what made her think work needs done to it.

Welcome to the forum! You'll find the Search button at the top to be a most useful tool (as nearly everything a SHO can and has done has been discussed by this point - even the newest gen 3 is 11 years old now), as well as the "How do I..?" section, which is chock-full of write-ups on just about everything you need.

For the more in-depth stuff, there is http://www.shophoenixproject.com, which discusses at length the procedures and requirements for engine maintenance (crank sensor replacement, valve adjustment, etc.). http://www.shosource.com and http://www.rcmautomotive.com are great places for SHO parts, as they are SHO-exclusive distributors that can get you lots of replacement and performance parts. For the rest, there is http://www.rockauto.com, which sells a lot of common replacement items at lower cost than advance auto and autozone, if you don't mind waiting for the shipping.

If you can't find the answer to a question by searching, feel free to ask and we'll do our best to help you out. The open section can be pretty rowdy at times, but we're generally a pretty tight-knit group. People driving hundreds of miles to help people they've never met to help fix their SHOs are not unheard of. Beer always helps.

Hope you enjoy your stay. :salute:

There is Ashley_MTX in NC that could give you some options/opinions.

The SHO community is among the most helpful car groups out there. If you can find some folks that aren't too far away, I bet they would lend a hand to get it road worthy.
