this is strange, and its been doing this for a while..when i accelerate, i feel like the car is not really moving the way its supposed to. its kinda hard to explain, today i started the car, took off, and when i floored it, it felt like it wasn't going anywhere and then a few minutes later, it picked up but even when its regular, i don't feel like i'm getting all the power, i mean i lost to a 91 mustang GT from a 70mph dig and he said his car was stock so there's gotta be something wrong, everything is up to date as far as maintenance and i just installed new motorcraft plugs and taylor wires

Have you cleaned the MAF recently? This can make a difference as it can get dirty and cause acceleration problems, especially if you have a K&N air filter, as the oil from the filter eventually gets the MAF dirty. When I bought my car it was so bad that every time I tried to give it over half throttle it would just bog. Cleand the MAF and it was a whole new car!

Is your throttle cable stiff? Make sure that when you press down all the way for WOT that it opens all the way. You may have streched throttle cable.

Pretty much any good electrical cleaner spray will work great. I use some I bought at Shcucks.

what they said. And if that still doesn't work you might want to bite the bullet and buy a new MAF sensor. Couldnt believe the difference when I did.
