Previous to working on my car this weekend it would have an occasional misfire/intake backfire off the line, after putting in my quaifed trans and some other general suspension maintenance the misfire got worse (but not till almost 24hrs later) and is now there most of the time but not always. So below 3-4k it stutters misfires and has no power until the secondaries open and then its like nothing is wrong. And sometimes it will intake backfire off the line.
I put a new IAT in it, swapped out the DIS, MAF, cam sensor, 02's, IAC, coil pack, vacuum tested and seams to have good vacuum (16-20 inch pounds), TPS tested .7v closed to 4.53v open, and no codes. It idles high and takes longer to come down in the RPM than it should. I also checked the plug wires and they appear to be fine. No oil or water in the plug wells and newer plugs and wires. What is going wrong????:thankyou:

Edit: Believed to be a sticking/misfiring injector as it has mostly cleaned up but will still stick/misfire sometimes, waiting on injector seals for my spare set of injectors to swap them in...

Ill swap that out and see, I think its gotta be a sensor because it takes about 10min of driving the car from it being cold to start having issues.

Edit: Swapped out the cam sensor and thats not it...
And swapped out the IAC and the coil pack and no luck...
Not the EEC or 02's...

Whats the chances of it being the knock sensor??

Pull the plugs.... Check those, and go from there. My 3.2l seems to foul plugs every so often. Then, double check your plug wires. They could be arcing from the boots. I dont care how new they are, check them again!

Yeah I checked the front bank and they plugs were more white but golden brownish, and checked the plug boots for cracks... I'll update tommorrow when I look some more things over. Oh and I did try with the MAF unplugged and then I have been doing everything with a good stock MAF in it that I cleaned, not my 73mm.

Well I think I may have figured it out, I put a bunch of seafoam in the tank to run it through and clean out the injectors and I think I may have had one sticking. The misfire/hesitation below 4k seams to be clearing its self up, now I can only get it to occasionally do it if you floor it just above 2k and it will still miss a little here and there but the more I drive it and the injectors get cleaned out its happening less and less. So my roommate dantheman86 has some 3.2 injectors laying around, I know you can run them in a 3.0 but is there anything special you have to do or can you just throw them in and go??

Its mostly cleared up but will still do it if you let it sit and idle or are driving in 3rd at 30mph for a while but it wants to clear up if you exercise the injector a little, I think its still sticking sometimes...
