I am working on Babe's interior, cleaning and such and the shifter is off the shaft, there is a thinner white plastic shaft comin out/up through the chrome tube and I have the shifter with the OD side button and the clip is there, but I don't see where the clip attaches to the shaft and I'm guessing that you'd have to totally take apart the leather to get the OD button connected back up to the OD wire, which I don't see in the car at all, maybe its up inside the shaft/? Is that a possibility?? I thought I remembered Brandon saying that he had hooked it up in there some kinda way...
So the question simply is, How do I re-attach the shifter so that it at least performs it's function to get in and out of park and have the shifter solid on the shaft??
