HELP.. Speedo/odo do not work!!

Yeah, what is wrong here, could it be the speedo cable?? does the Odometer work with the speedo? I need to get this fixed before I drive it. I dont know where the cable is located either (this is the 91)

The gray speedo cable runs down from the back of the speedometer, through the firewall on the passenger side of the brake booster and curves down toward the transmission. If the cable hasn't broken internally, it may have come unclipped at the 8" tall riser out of the transmission or at the transmission ***********.
