i was driving down the road today when i ran into stopped traffic in the road. I stepped on my brakes to stop rather quickly, and when i was almost stopped my brakes went out. no power or pressure. I was gettin close to home so i just used my emergency brake to get home. I looked too see if there was brake fluid and there was still some in there. Not to the max line, but enough where i should have some pressure when i touch the brakes. It was pouring rain so i couldn't really check the lines to see if there was a leak. Any ideas? its a 98.

Sounds like a blown line or connection somewhere. If you only hit it that once, that might be why you still have some fluid. When you can get it on a lift, pumping a few times should show you where the leak is at.

I second the vote for a blown line, probably hard line somewhere. The leak locating advice is also sound, but unless you have experience cutting, flaring, and splicing brake lines the repair might be best left to a professional. You should also have the remainder of the lines inspected as it's not uncommon for future failures once you've had one.

It finally stopped raining today so i could take a look at it. I had my buddy pump the brakes while i looked underneathe. Forgetting that the SHO has four disc brakes, I couldn't find shit leaking on the front ones. But then i saw a drip and then another from the back. It looks like the leak is above the gas tank. Does anyone have a schematic or layout of the braking system for the sho.
