I've worked on my '92 Thunderbird SC for years (and there are some common systems with the SHO), but I am a novice when it comes to the SHO. I must have overlooked something ( or maybe I just did something stupid). Anyway...

After doing some maintenance on my SHO, the engine won't fire. I replaced the plugs & wires and replaced all the intake manifold gaskets. For some reason, it won't start. I am not getting any codes (but then I really didn't expect any). I am getting spark and I am getting fuel pressure. I have double-checked all the electrical connectors to the sensors, and the vacuum/PCV lines. When I turn the key to start, it turns over, but doesn't even sputter. I don't notice any smell of gas, so it's almost like the fuel injectors aren't firing. Is there a fuse or relay for the injectors that could have blown? I'm stumped......http://www.shoforum.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=50#
Confused

Thanks for any assistance

you may want to check the intake/ head gasket, the metal one...
you said it was new? i have always put a small amount of rtv silicon on there before i put the intake back on. it might have a small leak..
i know when working on one of my friends sho, we put the stock intake gasket back on, (in really good shape) and it wouldnt fire. then we took the intake back off, put some silicon on there, put intake back on. fired up!
so thats what i do now, every time. might want to try it, but its up to you if you feel like taking the intake off again?!?!
side note: did you bypass the TB, it makes taking the intake off alot easier, the next time, and a slightly colder intake temp..... just fyi...

Check all of the grounds, especially from the firewall to the intake, and most importantly the two bolts which secure the crossover tube (the part with the dis module attached to it) to the surge tanks are secure. If those all check out ok, make sure you reconnected everything you disconnected when doing the maintenance.

LJGriggs: I posted this in the other forum, am copying it here also.

Since you have confirmed the presence of fuel pressure and spark, only two things come to mind:

1: Air. Try cracking the throttle a bit. If that works, your IAC is not functional.

2: Injectors not firing. The supply voltage for the injectors (all of them) is the red wire. It should be HOT with the IGN SW in RUN or START. This same supply circuit goes to many of the other devices under the hood, including the IAC, MAF, EVR solenoid, IMRC solenoid, CANP solenoid, and the tranny. This supply comes from CCRM pin 24 (PCM B+). Supply comes into the CCRM from 30A fuse (PCM/Fuel Pump) in the underhood fusebox.
