...as soon as I saw " I lack the cofidence to work on my engine... " I knew you sir are doomed before ever starting. If you cant change easy parts on a SHO you have no idea whats involved and buisness trying to turbo one. also there are no BS tv shows, youtube or false infomative episodes of horsepower tv that are gonna change that.

Get your hands dirty and work on your own car ,learn things first hand not from a tv show. It is much more satisfying when you build your own car. Good luck and have fun.

oh believe me ive got no problem spinning wrenches on my own car i love gettin in there and getting dirty, ive already done my own conecting rod bearings and crank bearings im just somewhat clueless on forced induction, prior to my sho's i was always a 305 guy cranking out as much n/a power as posible. im just more lost on the forced induction than anything else and the only reason im more cautious than usual is because it is my daily driver

I think the fastest moving 305 is 65 mph laying in the bed of a truck on the way to the scrap yard.

in all seriousness tho just search for " Turbo sho" start reading alot and absorb some info of other peoples first hand experience with boosted sho's. U shouldnt even start to think about gathering parts intill you have everything well planned out and a good bit info about what you really want/need .

Click the link above. Our rear mounted turbo kit is almost ready for market.

It'll be an easy installation. The kit will come with the turbo and the brackets, the plumbing from the engine to the turbo and from the turbo back to the engine, the oiling system and the rest of the hardware to install the kit. It will also come with a waste gate and a blow off valve.

With any turbo i wouldn't feel safe unless i ran some sort of charge cooling.. ****, even with a super charger i would do what you do Jason at least....

Better safe than sorry IMHO..

Not to mention the looks on the faces of the few people who actually catch that shiny inter cooler hiding behind the grill of your Taurus :woo-hoo:

Turbo kit with all the plumbing, waste gate, blow off valve should be $4500.

This will include a Garrett GT2876, bracketry, ceramic coated hot pipes, aluminum charge piping, couplings, clamps and hardware. Just add the injectors, MAF, fuel pump and tuning.

For that price I can get many different bolt on SC kits from Vortech for various cars with tunes. Its about even all said and done money wise with their discount prices. I found out it is easier and cheaper to go forced induction on a Dodge Viper as opposed to go forced induction on a Taurus SHO.

If it was SHO Source that said that instead of Doug I have a feeling that you would be flamed to **** and back.

but that's around the price of an already built car and also outside of most people's price range but they need to understand that you have to pay to play.
