It looks like i am going to need some help with rod bearing replacement down here in Kansas City. I called around to see how much people would do the replacement for and i got some places quoting me not 1, not 2, or 3 but 4 thousand dollars!!! After changing my pair of underwear, i have decided to see if anyone here would know about any places localy that would do the job for a little less or if anyone would be up to the task themselves. I know of a opal frost ATX sho as well as a Gen 1 sho at a junkyard that both have at least a block with all the internals in them that maybe i could use. I saw these at the beginning of summer when i was looking for a replacement amp. So possibly i could grab those engines for next to nothing and see if i couldnt salvage those instead? :corn:

Anywho, if anyone knows of a reliable place to get this job doen or if anyone wants to waste a weekend, PM me or whatever.

Thanks a lot!

County Line Auto Parts is a salvage yard on rt 50 just this side of Lone Jack. I just bought an ATX tranny from them, I am pretty sure they have a couple engines there if you wanted to just swap out the whole engine, I think it will also come with a 90 day warrantee. I would recoomend **** Noster Automotive out here just off base, he does a lot of high end engine work and does a nice job. Also there is All Auto out here, depending on where you live in KC, it is probably about an hour drive, but they should do it for a whole lot less.
