HELP in Dearborn

Wouldn't you know it... 94 degrees and the 91 decides to pop an upper radiator hose

And wouldn't you know it... I have one at home but that's 50 miles away. I've got no chance of getting the car that far.

So here we are... anyone within 15 miles of Dearborn with an upper radiator hose and a screwdriver?

BTW, I did get your son's message, but then my cell phone decided to quit working as well. Saturday is a-ok for the parts car stuff... in fact I was there last weekend and sawzalled the front off & removed the wiring harness. There's little left to now but unbolt the subframe, unbolt the struts and voila

I appreciate that Beth I could get Michelle down here with mine, but it would be close to 7pm before she could get here. I was hoping some of the locals may have something up their sleeve.

Well, Murray's says they have one for a SHO in stock, $8.99. It's 5 miles away, I'm hoping I can make it that far at least.

Made it home a-ok. Murray's had all the goods, $28 and 10 minutes worth of changing the hose in the parking lot in 100 degree heat and I was on my way

Wait till you have to put your fuel return line on sitting in the breakdown lane on the southbound-131-to-eastbound-west-main exit after the damn thing pops off sitting in the staging lanes at the drag strip.

Actually, from what I've heard, you're not a REAL SHO owner till you've piled into the passeneger seat of a tow truck with your heart and soul sitting on the flatbed behind you and a greasy guy sits next to you bxtching about all the things wrong in the world.

Me too, 'cept the two times my SHO was professionally towed I followed the wrecker in a Ford SUV, first time in July '02, second time, this past Friday
