I believe 1 and 3 are useless. Is 1 tied in with the MAF connector line?

I don't know exactly what 2 is right now, but I can tell you later tonight when I get home.

Thanks. :thumb:

I figured that they were. Harness 1 does appear to be connected to the MAF connector line.

Harness 1 plugs into a little solenoid that is inline with the vacuum line that comes off of the TB port and runs down to below the radiator, it has to do with the emission system.

Harness two plugs into the coolant overflow tank sensor, you can see in the picture that it is unplugged.

Harness three looks like the plug for the DPFE sensor, but your '89 doesn't have one, since it isn't a Cali car.

Harness 2 isn't the overflow sensor, I have it unplugged and tucked away, as the sensor is shot. I will have to see if I can locate the solenoid that harness 1 is suppose to be plugged into. Thanks!

Harness 1: Extra, on my 89 I use it to turn on my fans when i want to manually over ride the computer...
Harness 2: Appears to be AC clutch related
Harness 3: Could be extra or it could be the timing control plug if there is a cap on that plug.

Ignore connectors 1 and 3, I guarantee you will not find anything for it to plug in. The solenoid talked about for connector 1 is not tapped into the same one as the MAF connector and there's no way in **** it can reach it! So that's out of the question, not that it's in the question to begin with.

Connector 2, if it's more narrow than the overflow connector, it goes to the compressor. If it's the same width or a tad more, it goes to the pressure/cycle switch located on the accumulator, which is located in front of the compressor and beside the radiator on the 89.

BTW, connector 2 looks like it goes the compressor, as it's missing a clip and can work itself off with engine movement.
