I have a 93 SHO ATX with almost 200 K on it. I decided to remove the intake so I could fix a problem with oil in the plugwells. I fixed that problem, and cleaned all the junk out of the intake. Now it is time to reassemble and the problems have started. First, I broke a small hose in the back that connects to a small port in the back. Then I broke a bolt that holds on a part in the back of the engine on the right hand side as you look at the motor just to the left of the brake fluid reservior. It says on E9DE-9D460-CDA it and bolts to the intake. There is a hose clamped to the bottom of it. Also, some tubing pushes on to it as well. I need to know what this part is called and where I could get the bolts for it. I don't have them for comparison, as they broke off and fell in the engine, I still haven't found them. Besides all of that, the SHO only runs at 4k RPMs now and when you rev it up, it sounds like the rim limiter is on. It also stalls out now. Could this be the cleaners that I used? Any help, advice or part numbers will be appreciated!

The ATXs have rev limiters in park and I think neutral.

The thing with the tube is part of the EGR if I'm not mistaken. I stripped a few of the bolt heads on some of the intake bolts, so I had to get new bolts. That's not really a big deal, just make sure they're 12mm fine thread. When you say it seems like the rev limiter is kicking in, I assume the cylinders are going in and out. But if not, and the car just stops revving at about 4k (like the secondaries aren't opening), check to see if the secondaries are in fact operating. Mine got stuck or something after I took the intake off and cleaned it. I moved the secondaries around a bit to free them up if they were stuck, and left them in the open position (all this with the car off). Then I started the car and the person helping me out watched and made sure the butterflies closed. After that it worked fine. The stalling could be the cleaners, or you could have the plugs in the wrong order. My car ran like **** after I did the exact same thing you did and it was because the plugs were in the wrong order. Did you use a Chilton's manual, by chance?
