AC on high and temp at 3/4 up gauge. (normally never over 1/2) Fan kicks on for about 5 to 10 sec then back off for a few minutes then back on for a few sec again. 95 SHO single fan set up. Any ideas? Ive been looking through search but nothing like mine is doing :) go figure! I'm thinking CCRM bites me again????

the fan kicks on at a certain coolant temp, and then off once that temp drops. if the coolant temp gets to a higher point, then the fan kicks on high speed. it sounds like yours is only running on high, because when you turn on the a/c the cooling fan is supposed to run on low no matter what the coolant temp is (unless it needs to go to high speed).

cooling fan only running on high has only these potential causes: a. bad fan motor, b. bad wiring from pcm to fan motor, c. bad ccrm, d. bad pcm, e. bad temp sensor.

I appreciate the info, I looked at all wiring and plugs no issues I can see, I know there is no way to test ccrm without another one, what about the other items? How can I isolate the issue? If it make a difference it did this a couple weeks ago then no more till Thursday seems intermittent maybe.

Probably the motor. I went through the same issue with mine, except it was the common lead that fried.

The listing on just about every site is incorrect for the two speed MTX fan motor.

The correct part is Four Seasons 35460. RockAuto has the best price at $117.

Remember, search by part number rather than by application.

Good luck!

good luck taking it apart. That old plastic likes to break when you try and disassemble it. My 94 was horrible and went with a used unit. I still have the same symptoms as you so either wiring or relay I think. Mine shuts down as soon as it tries to engage
