Happy to join the group-just purchased an amazing 89 Titanium today and am looking forward to learning more about these great cars. Not a new collector by any stretch-have an 89 Thunderbird SC and an 89 Cougar XR7 so the SHO completes my 89 performance Ford collection. I'm sure I will have plenty of questions!

Welcome! Post some pics of your cars

As a Thunderbird SC owner, are there issues finding crank position sensors for your cars

I posted pictures of all three cars to an album in my profile - apologies for the less-than-optimal photo of the SHO but I just got it yesterday...hope to get some better pictures next year when car show season starts back up around here. Wasn't quite sure how to add a photo in this post itself - still figuring out how to navigate the forums!

To date I haven't needed crank position sensors but I have heard they can be tough to find. There are several SC-specific organizations providing hard-to-find parts but I haven't checked recently. The SC has 57k miles and the XR7 50k - hoping I won't need the sensors anytime soon.

I have owned three (89&90&91) Super Coupes along with a 93 white SHO. My 89 was pullied, had a lid, had the modifed (thicker) double intercooler (SCCOA), gears, full exhaust, with a build AOD. Funny story, they dont like going into overdrive and holding 17 psi for long periods of time. Completely smoked the OD clutch band...opps.

Welcome in! 89s are fun. I've had an 89 as a daily driver for the last 7 years.
