So I hope to be picking up a 2013 SHO in a few months and one of the major reasons I am so interersted in the car has been some of the research I've been able to do via this forum.

I do have a question that I am hoping someone can answer. Does the Blind spot information system or the adaptive cruise control interfere with the operation of your radar detector (i.e. setting off the thing all the time?)? I am assuming the BLIS uses radar but I don't know what band it is using...I've noticed that my current detector (Passport 8500) goes crazy around some higher end imports on the highway and I am thinking similar issues may be in play.

Thanks in Advance!

I have a 2011 SHO with a V1 radar dectector and it doesn't interfere with it. Must be a different frequency.

Radar is directional firstly(hence why most radars rotate), so i imagine it MAY pick it up if you had a radar facing forward in some way.

Secondly, and as someone else already mentioned, it would likely be a diff frequency for a couple reasons. First, the police radar would need to be higher frequency to be able to get through stuff like rain and work at longer distances. The cars radar can be quite weak since its only got to work within such short distances, which unfortunately is also why it may be easy to make it not functional or not reliable depending on the situation. More powerful radars like the one on this gun can see its own bullets traveling down range. Secondly, if the radars did match the frequencies of that of the police scanner, it would effectively act as a "jammer" making the police radars useless, and we all know they're not gonna allow something like that haha.
