Headrests question

Are the headrests on my 91 removable?I`m sure they are,but i don`t know if you have to strip the leather off 1st or not.

i had to take off my headrest on my 95 to put on my 4 point harness. it took about 5 minutes to take off( be careful! they have small aluminum retaining clips that will rip your leather.)so be very careful and slow when pulling them off. you will have to shimmy them back and forth to wiggle them off. if you have to put them back on, don't get frustrated, it will take about 30 min. per side. the holes they go in, are not a secure piece. it will take two sets of hands and some fishing to find the same two spots similtaneously. have your helper "try" to hold the slots inside the seat steady while you try to find the holes again. it's tough, but can be done. i did mine without damaging anything, just take your time and you should be fine. wink
