I've noticed some sun rot of the headliner at the back edge that shows through the rear window. Then, I cleaned the inside of the glass over the weekend and really noticed it crumbling with even the slightest touch.
Well, yesterday while driving back from picking up some nice leather seats from oldsho (thanks!), I noticed a small, but annoying flapping in my peripheral vision through the rear view mirror. The cloth is just starting to fall in a couple of places. It's very minor at this point, but can see that it will get worse quickly if not fixed.
I've seen a few threads on replacing headliners...but is there some way to repair this? or is a headliner replacement in my near future?
Regarding a replacement, I see in other threads that all of the trim pieces have to be removed and then the headliner will just fall down. What actually falls? Is there some type of board-backing under the cloth? If so, how do you get that large piece out of the car? and then....what do you replace....the whole thing or just the cloth?
