You can get those at an auto parts store for about the same price and you don't have to pay for shipping. :)

I had those at one time and I didn't care for them at all.

I see, Thankyou. What kind do you got now? I am looking for something that will help with the low light my sho seems to have. the brights aren't too bad, but I am just waiting till I have my lows on and someone is coming and shining there lights so I can't see the deer. I checked old posts and found some good info but no one really had any specific kind or type.

I have the Sylvania Silverwhites in my car right now, and they work great. I can notice a color difference, but the visibility didn't increase that much. With the headlights that the cars came with, you really can't go much more powerful unless you replace the wiring harness. The best bet you are gonna do for increasing visibility would be replacing the stock fog lamps with driving lamps like the PIAA 1500xt's (just an example. There are many others you can choose from). But then you would be about 200 bucks out of your pocket.

I like the idea of replacing the harness. I think I will be taking the whole casing apart and cleaning it fer the extra edge. (there is no water so I don't really think they got dirty) I haven't seen any blue fog driving lights. have you?

I have, but I'm not sure they would fit into the bumper. Even though the hole for the stock foglights are pretty big, I'm sure you would be able to fit almost anything in there, but you might have to make a custom bracket for the aftermarket foglights. I'm not positive though, can anyone elaborate on this? Here is one example of a site that sells a variety of fog lamps/bulbs/etc...

headlights, better lighting

I found a definite solution: HID driving lights. I got the rectangular driving lights from JC Whitney's website, not their catalogue. Not cheap. But WOW. Fit in the SHO perfectly!!
They are great, look great, really put out light across the road, not "pencil" pattern, way down the road so I no longer feeling I am overdriving my lighting, have a sharp cutoff so that other drivers are not dazzled, are of real build quality, very impressive. make my former PIAA halogens look sick! Dont get "fog" lights, the yellow color is meaningless, based on BS, and light poorly. :****:

IMO They are too blue.... ricey blue.... I know that sylvania makes like there "x-tra" vision or the cool blue bulbs that aren't that much.... and they give a white look and a bit brighter.... but I like my silverstarts.....

I also think GE brand makes this High Output light for real cheep...... Miltownsho I believe had them and it was hard to tell the difference betweent that and silverstars.... for much less

I have HID headlights now. No need for high beams at all. :)

Over the years the inside of your lens can get cloudy and yellowed. You can take them apart and clean them up but IMO it's just better to replace them. If they are clouded and/or yellowed it won't matter what bulb you put in there. There is a place that you can order Gen 1 headlight replacements for a fraction of the cost of Ford prices and from what I understand they fit just fine. Your best bet is to to start at the source, that being the lens of the headlight itself. Look here for replacements

I like the APC 9007 Xenon bulbs. I am not a fan of Silverstar bulbs. They just look like the high beams are on with regular bulbs.

Would the headlights for a 91 Sable fit a 91 SHO? 95 Sable fit a 95 SHO? I think the only difference is that the Sable unit doesn't have the fishtank?? They are about 100 bucks cheaper for the Sable than for the SHO.

The '91 Sable headlight will not fit a '91 SHO, totally different shape. On the other hand the '95 Sable headlight will fit the '95 SHO if you add the fishtank.

That does look pretty sweet...

I have a picture of my Silverstar headlights and Hella FF75s, but my digital camera is old and the picture quality isn't quite there...I had to take the picture from an angle cuz the camera would not focus...maybe too bright to focus? :D I think that if I had a better camera, the lights wouldn't look semi-yellowish...the lenses to the headlights are less than a year old...no discoloring...the driving lamps are about 1.5 weeks....
