I was wondering what is the best way to adjust your headlights, I just installed new adjustment screws and now my headlights point down, before they pointed up so at least now I can see the road.

Use a 6mm socket to move the headlight up or down. You can use the side of the house or a garage door to line up the headlights... Anytype of wall with lines will work. Snap-on or Matco tools sells a "Ford Headlamp Adjusting tool" that can be used instead of a 6mm socket but I think it's a waste off money since you most likely won't need that tool again!

is it a 4mm? Maybe I'm thinking of Chevy but I could swear that use a 6mm on the fords at work. Oh well either way matco will charge you way to much for the "correct" tool.

anyhow, I thought it was 6 mm too, until I tried to adjust them with a 1/4 drive 6mm socket... no go
And yes, the "special tool" used to aim the headlamps are WAY too expensive. Just get a good 1/4 drive set and use a 4mm socket thumbs_u
