Thanks DavidT! :salute:
But I hope you didn't get the wrong idea. I wasn't trying to make a contest out of it between us. ;) We just had the same idea when he said something about doing something to the taillights. And I couldn't respond of course until I got home from work and seen his post. :)
But on a side note. If you liked what I did, then you could probably get the night shades off. Then get the spray can paint to match your black, and paint it all black like I did the silver parts on mine and then just put the night shades on the inside of the black paint of the taillights. :thumb:
Did that make since?
Then your SHO rear would look really blacked out! :ruhroh:

yeah, I know what you meant
Yours is VERY unique. Is that vinyl or paint you used?
If its paint, how does it look up CLOSE... specifically around the unpainted part of the lens? It looks perfect in the pic., but I would imagine it would be very hard to have a nice clean "stop" around the edges, and the unpainted lens...

David, I like your a little more, nice and clean. Willie, I like yours too, but there is just too much going on there for my tastes. I like it nice and clean, black. But of course I am biased. :p

It is paint that I used. It is the right color silver frost and the clear that goes with it, just like the paint on the car.
It looks Very Good up close and it is a nice clean sharp edge. Even on the lens between the Nite Shades and the color paint.
I have 3 good pics of it that I will e-mail to you. The one I posted is not the best,(a little dark) but it SHOwed the whole rear like your pic did. I would post them, but I don't have a place to host them. The place where I have the other pic hosted does not allow a bunch of pics. So I would have to delete pics that i don't want to.

Hey, I can respect that, not a problem here. ;)
I will send the same pics to you also. Then you can imagine his and yours painted black like the cars with just the Nite Shades on the lenses where the light SHOws through. Then it would be nice and blacked out. :thumb:

Great Idea, although I wasn't feelin' the whole taillight blackout thing, I wanted something a little more designed so this is what I started, I took the pics last night but will get some daytime pic hopefully tomorrow.

Thanks for the ideas guys.

I've got all my lights blacked out with niteshades and Roman can attest that they don't block out that much light and the look totally kickass in the daytime.

I have black vinyl on the non-lens part of my headlights. Gives a nice cut off to the light pattern too.

Thanks for the compliments guys
Yes, that is a round tuning fork badge above the v8 embem. I saw a silver (?) gen.3 in Pigeon Forge a few months ago. :dribble: Then I saw the badges on ebay. :naughty:
A custom sign shop did the headlights and the banner for $75.
