Headlight bulbs

Can anyone tell me if A stock headlight system on our cars will handle a 85w bulb I am look at a set of 85/80w bulbs. I got a 95mtx. Also I am thinking of heat in the headlight will it cause a heat problem causing warping of the headlight. Are they large enough to handle that heat??

I would trust the wires but not the switch. Relays are cheap and easy.

i haven't had any problem running 100/80 watt in mine.....

has anyone out there with a GEN I done a 9004 to 9007 conversion?

i'm thinking about doing it... and was curious if anyone else has

I have run the 80/100s' in my GEN I for many years now. No issues except that other drivers sure don't like them.
