I was talking with a guy about developing headers for the V8. Any interest? What would you like from them?

Shorter and not too fat.. i would rather buy a set that boosts low end than high end.

Anyone in the Northern LA or Glendale CA. area that would like to SHO off their SHO to the header people?

Here is the web site of the header manufacturer. They made headers for the 2.5L Duratec motor. For those that don't kno the V8 is the 2.5L Duratec with two cyinders added. Same exhaust and intake valves/ports.

Last time I heard a v8 sho floor it, I stopped, looked and drooled

I didn't realize tips made that much (if any) difference.

And did you notice any butt dyno results?

Yes it socks. I use to be able to pull 144 with ease now it just lolygags around and can't bust 130.

I'm leaveing them that way till I hit the strip. I want to see if it really helps down low. Otherwise them babys are getting streched out to 2"

I was at my local muffler shop the other day getting the resonator chopped off, and mentioned that flowtech/exhaust dump setup (the motorized flapper arrangement on a Y cutout) and he recommended against it, said even closed they were still noisy and was a sure ticket waiting to happen........Have you heard anything about them? And have you given any thought to one of these? I'm thinking about getting one and installing a switch (and/or discover a way to tap activate it only when the secondaries open..... Got any comments on this?
