How is it done? Does the winshield or rear window need to come out? I hope it can be the rear window, because I would like to replace that anyway. I will ask about that(rear window)in a different thread.
Thanks in advance! :salute:

You just need to take the pillar plates down, the side plates that meet the headliner, the rear inside quarterpanel plates, and any lighting that you have, it is also easier to do if the passanger side front seat is not there. Now the Gen II is blown fiberglass type stuff, and it is VERY brittle, don't know bout the gen III, Hey Willie, Good luck man! Oh and have you and one other person there for help, there is a way to take it out of the passanger's side door. Drop the drivers side down and start to angle it out the door, pulling it through the passangers side door, you will see what I mean when you have it off or down and trying to get it outta the car. :thumb: Have fun!!!! :D

Make sure to wear gloves when handleing it, that fiberglass stuff gets everywhere. Also be careful when working with it as it will want to bend/break where the sunroof opening is.

Willie, i will have to post a pic of what became of my headliner, it started to split and break all over, so I coated it with black eurethane caulking, the kind that you use on house flashing, that barely kept it together, I couldnt get the fabric all off the old liner, so I chose to use speaker velvet, the kind that you cover speaker boxes with, it hid the inperfections and actually looks really nice:thumb: Car is at my dad's right now half the state away, so I will need to snap a pic when I am down there next, which will probably be when I remove the transmission. Are you putting up the original headliner material?

Yea, I'll take a look at the pic. Yea I would put up the original material, but I think it would be a big hassle. I'm looking at getting a good head liner and visors off a member on here. Like I was asking in a different thread about the rear window. I seen how you said to get it(head liner) out the passenger door. But if I replace the rear window. Then that is the time to do the head liner without bending it to get it out the door.

Here you go, snapped some pics yesterday when I was at my dad's house in Salina. This is a headliner done in speaker velvet, or that stuff you put on speaker boxes. This is the "silver" color. BELOW

Sorry for the glare, it was about 8:00am and the windows had frost on them and the ice was multipling the sun glare.

I just had Safelight replace my rear window a few weeks ago because none of the defroster grids worked and there was weld splatter on the outside of the glass :bonk: . The installed total came to $254
