Has anyone replaced a head light bulb yet. I read my owners manual and it say it just turns out but I could not get the bulb out to save my life.... Is it as easy as turning the bulb and it goes out? Also my has the factory hid lights in it.

It can be done with hands but not very easy. Drivers side do yourself a favor.....remove air box assembly. The good news for at least 2014 and 2015 hopefully same for 2011 is the HID bulb assembly is just the bulb. Ballast is part of the headlight lens assembly.

The turn and loosen is fairly simple where it gets complicated is the electrical connector. Ford wasn't courteous enough to provide much room in the housing and the bulb vendor wasn't courteous or smart enough to provide a connector from the back. I say not courteous is I believe they purposely designed the bulb to not be user accessible figuring most people would give up and pay dealer for replacement. I know of at least 1/2 dozen forums members who said F/U Ford dealer and being patient were able to get replaced with aftermarket HID Bulbs I personally went with 6000K and work great. It can be done but be patient and remember be careful. Don't replace until the new bulbs are on property of you break one during removal you are committed.
