if i had a blown head gasket and just let the car run in the drive way, it should over heat as if sitting in traffic, correct.

That's not a good way to diagnose a blown headgasket. Check the oil and see if it's got anti-free/water mixed with it. It would look like chocolate milk. Also your car would be eating coolant and your low coolant light would eventually go on. Just letting the car sit and overheat doesn't mean it's got a blown hg, it could overheat b/c the fan is dead or you have a coolant leak.

yea but even if its not a head gasket if it runs hot driving than it sitting in my driveway it should get hot too, right
