Harmonic damper problem

I am in the process of trying to get the harmonic damper off of the crank. For some reason the damn thing is on there "good". It is coming off slowly but I am bending the bolts that came with the damper pully set I got from auto zone. One of the bolts stripped and now I have to drill it out. Does anybody know why this thing is so hard to get off. Any tricks for getting it off.

i took mine off 2 weeks ago. all i can say is WD40 and a lil tappy tappy from a rubber mallet with the puller pulling.
