My 95 ATX runs fine, but when the engine is warm, it is difficult to start. It has never stranded me, but I don't like all the extra cranking. Any ideas? The crank sensor was replaced 4 years ago, could it be bad already? Thanx, Tom

If the crank sensor were bad it wouldnt start at all. It would act like it wasnt getting any fuel. I had a similar problem in my car once and it turned out that my battery was on its way out and didnt have the power to start it on the first try anymore. I didnt discover that was the problem until it went completely out and i replaced it. Hasnt done it since.

Will it start if you put the gas pedal to the floor? I have found that these engines can flood out pretty easy when they are hot. Flooring it will cut the injectors and help it fire.

Thank you for the tips. Battery came with car and I have had it four 4+ years. It is a 100 month motorcraft, but I guess it could be getting tired. I did clean the terminals, so I will see if that does the trick. I have held it to the floor when it has acted up, seems to help. Thanx again, Tom
