I would have searched but i dont even know what to call the thing.

The small black struts that goes from the strut tower to the motor on one side and the trans on the other were left out when bolting the subframe back up.

I was able to get the driver side on fine through the wheel well. It was 2am and i had jury duty in the morning, so I didnt have a chance to look on the pass side, but i can see the holes to where it would bolt. It looks from up top, like i wont need to pull any accessories to get it in.

So my question is, can the strut on the pass side be put in without unbolting the subframe again? Being able to do the drivers side makes me think they were put where they were so they could be removed without pulling everything, correct or not? Thanks for any help in advance.

Also if someone could give me the correct name of it, i'd appreciate it.

With reinforced motor mounts, they are not needed.

Ive been running without them for 50k+ miles. :salute:

I also figured they dont serve a huge purpose, but they gotta be there for something right? I was going to reinforce my mounts, but didnt wanna pony up the cash for new reinforced units, didnt wanna mess with the poly. I could have used bolts but alls you hear about is how you reinforce this mount it snaps that mount etc. etc. They both were in good shape so i just left them.

Ditto.

And no, you don't have to touch the subframe, it simply bolts to the P/S pump bracket.

Thanks for the info, i cant really see how i could do it from the top, but it can be done by going in through the bottom?

I suppose. I install them from the top all the time. Just don't attach the bracket to the strut tower first, do that last.
