Car wouldnt start this morning, Acted like it was Flooded. I finally got it started this evening and ran a self test KOEO and it gave me 212 and 211.
I looked up the SHO terms and don't see a PIP or the SPOUT.
Code 212 is for IDM Circuit Failer/Spout Circuit
Code 211 is for PIP Circuit Fault.

Help Please What the heck are IDM ,SPOUT and PIP.

every time I have seen a code for PIP, the engine has needed a new crank sensor. I would get one in there asap.

Ok I misread the codes. It was 121 and 212. I chnged the TPS and still no difference. but it did some other weird stuff today.
if RPM drops below1200 it dies. It also died twice on the Hwy a 100KM. just like I shut off the ignition. Then it was hard to start. i had to put my foot to the floor to get it going . Just before it quit the tach bounced around a bit.

Am I looking at a Crank Censor?

Well it looks like a Crank Censor. Is there a thread on here that gives a step by step?

its going to run very poorly and not have power until you get rid of the 121 tps code. if its not the actual sensor, then its a wiring or connector issue.

Car wouldn't start to so a self test. So I checked for codes. the 121 code is gone , only the 212 code remains. Motor turned over but wouldnt even fire this time. I have rechecked all the wires and conections I could see.

Through the new Cam Sensor in tonight. Fired up and ran smooth except it stumble the odd time at idle. As I was watching the motor I noticed a Spark that looks like it is comeing from inside the coil pack. It looks like it is just below the surface of the epoxy. The sparks coinside with the sumble. I took it for a drive on the hwy and the check engine light came on. Still running smooth, lots of power.
Pulled the codes when I got home.
these are codes I'm not familiar with.I checked them twice to be sure.

172 HEGO sensor indicates system lean RH
177 HEGO sensor indicates system rich LH
176 HEGO sensor indictaes system lean LH
212 This one I know but don't know how to cure it/

Help please

Ok here's where I'm at now.
Replaced- in this order
Plugs
TPS
CID
COIL PACK. This was the final part that smoothed out the idle and the power.
It now starts, Run's perfect, (check engine light tells me I still need to change the O2 sensors and will do that soon)
But heres the lates issue, Battery light comes on and the batter goes stone dead in less than 3 min, then thr engione dies ( low voltage) If I unplug the altenator the light goes out, and the motor stays running.
I'm sure its the altenator but they are near $300. it fails inconsistanly so I think its the voltage regulator. Can they be replaced seperatly ?
