Welcome.

What have you got? We'll be doing another get-together real soon so you can meet everyone. What type of Supercharger were you planning on getting?

yeah, the title was a mistake, but i laughed really loud when a cust was right next to me at work. I've been looking for an strim centrifugal. Before i bent my subframe and sold my exhaust, i had a high flow y and edelbrock catback w/ the cai. i ran a 14.78 @ 94.5. that was my best time anyway. i have a black 91 w/ a plus hood. i love the car and the cable shifter. do you think the tranny will hold up to the sc?

91 was the first year Ford stopped installing the cable shifter, unless it is a transplant

Half way through the year they changed to the cable shifter... I believe in July of '91 IIRC. My '91 was unlucky and has the cable shifter too.

then it must be 90, b/c it has the cable shifter, but it has the fiberglass hood.
I'm confused. i know for sure that it has a cable shifter though and the fg hood, came w/ slicers and the tach with the lines indicating each 100rpm.

everyone bags on the cable shifter. mine feels pretty solid, except for returning to first. there is a definite grab that lets you know you're in gear. not quite as gruesome as the rod shifters but still pretty solid.

If you put in equal money into the trans and the supercharger, you should be okay. Get a quaife and Josh's gearset. Inless you like blown transmissions connected to your blown motor. ;)

You can get your quaife from a few different places: www.shonutperformance.com and www.midwestsho.com are the ones I would look at. Josh owns ShoNutPerformance, so he knows the SHO.

If it ain't broke YET don't fix it!

After you drive a rod shifted car with Jose's SHOrt shifter, you'll probably change your mind, however. It almost feels like a rear wheel drive car as far as shifting.

And you do have a 1991 Plus, if the hood is stock. Do you have a wing?

can't wait. anyone go to the pavillions or firebird frequently?

As a matter of fact SHOAZ is racing his silver 95 MTX at Firebird this Sunday. I'm planning on going to help out wherever I can.

After just about every one of our club get togethers we head on over to the pavillions. The most we've had there was 6 cars and four buggies I think.

Take it easy on your tranny and it will survive the blower.

Plus hood

I had the same thing on a maroon '90. Plus hood on a non-plus car.... with the sloppiest cable shifter of all time. I took the hood off of that car and put it on my titanium colored car... tried to spray bomb it and turned it into a regular looking P O S. :hpoop: I need to repaint it the right way.

Looking forward to the next meet.

Hey Tom, look at those SHO's falling out of the horses butt again!

Hey, since there are so many SHO guys in Chandler and Mesa, why don't you guys come out on Sunday to Firebird raceway and watch SHOAZ tear up the track in his 95. I'm sure it'll be fun, especially if it rains. When I watched/rode with him at Phx International Raceway, it was a hoot to watch him run down Porsches, BMW's and other lesser vehicles.

what time on sunday. I'm at work from noon to 5, but i'd love to see it. And i did get the supercharger, not a kit. I'm going to build it rather than spending more and getting it all at once. So, if anyone has fuel upgrades or parts to aid in the installation(36# inj, 255 lph fuel pump, 80mm maf, bracket, oil feed and return lines) just pm me.
