I just happened to be looking at the DPFE sensor on my car, and had my right hand resting on the EGR valve. Everything looked fine... The DPFE is new, and so is the EGR valve. I had recently taken off my manifold due to 100% clogged EGR ports inside. Low and behold, as I took my hand off the EGR valve it moved!! The long screw was so loose, that if I pushed down on it it came off the manifold. Could this have been a major vacuum leak I found, maybe leading to my brand new DPFE sensor reading high back pressure and crappy engine performance? Just curious if you think I found something critical... I tightened it down real good.

Well, crap!

Looks like I didn't get that tightened down when the intake was off last month! :embarrased:

Yes, it would definitely cause an intake vacuum leak. Tightening it was the correct thing to do. Next time we get together, I will torque it to the proper values.

My apologies on the oversight as this was likely my fault.

**** ya. That would make a big deal of difference. The car is getting unmeasured air flow. That really messes up the fuel and air ratio.

When you get that IAC, PM me again to see if that is the problem or not.
