Ground Wire Middle Engine to Fuel Injector Wiring Harness

There is a ground wire in the top middle of the engine, below the fuel rail. It is not in great shape on my car and I want to fix it. I am very concerned about cutting into the harness near the injectors because the wire wrap is very hard and brittle. Is there another place where I could sort of Back feed the ground circuit? It seems like harness goes all over the place.

Yes there is a ground there. Don't worry about the harness wrap, just get in there and make your repairs clean any mess and rewrap the harness.
