So my car has decided that it wants to develop a whole a slew of issues. Currently the one that is really bothering me is the grinding. I feel it at my feet, and I started noticing it when i would turn right. I have noticed it now turning left and sometimes moving forward. It always feels and sounds like it is coming from in front of me. This is always at low speeds, and has nothing to do with changing gears. I do not know if it is more or less prevalent when in different gears.

With that said, when I put my car up, what should I take a look at? Tranny fluid level/color? Steering rack? Any bushings I should look at?

I'll report back with what I find. I hope that this weekend will not be rainy so I can actually take a look at it.

Check your CV shafts, upper strut mounts, tie rods/rack, and brake rotor contact with the dust shield or caliper bracket.

Do you have a brake upgrade on your car?

Nice list. I should be able to handle that. As far as brakes, completely stock.

<--- Dipsh**!

I'm under the assumption that the transmission was not level with the mount when my friend and I put the car together. I had bolts in it that were not much bigger than the ones used to fasten the intake supports to the head holding the tranny to the mount.

I discovered this last week when I noticed the bolt shoulder was not flush to the mount. I tried to back the bolt out and it wouldn't come out more than an inch. I figured I must've stripped the threads or something but it looked cockeyed. I jacked up the tranny case a fraction of an inch and the bolt straightened out. I knew exactly what I did!

I got used bolts from SHOSource and there is no grinding noise.

I think I dodged a bullet on that one... hopefully.
