SO the same thing applies right Tysho? That I need to disassemble the trans mission to do that? Of course... Where would I get the blocking rings from?

Yes, you would need to disassemble the transmission. I have can mail you the instructions from a Ford manual if you'd like. I am also going to send you a PM. I'm sorry for taking so long to reply, my inbox is so full to see the reply emails.

Slow down a bit. If the clutch does not disengage completely it will cause difficulty getting into gear. This could be as simple as adjusting the clutch cable >

That's true to a point but when it comes down to one gear, it's an internal problem. If it's the cable you would have problems in all gears, not specifically one.

Sooo....Don't use Synchromesh?

Mine didn't shift good with the atf as with the synchromesh

You can use what you want but be warned that if you have a stock differential, you already have a problem with the fluid reaching the internals for lubrication and a thicker fluid will only make it worse, reducing the life of your differential. I had my differential fail years back before I could reach 1,000 miles on synchromesh.

ATF is what this transmission calls for.

NOT synchromesh (although it may work great for some people...as stated it's thicker...and thicker fluid=shoboom)

Not lucas ANYTHING

NOT gear oil

NOT wheel bearing grease...

ATF. Synthetic ATF is still ATF so if you hate money, go ahead and get 3 or 4 quarts.
