Since I am not getting my SHO untill April, is it hard to remove the grill on a 89? And how do you? I would like to place a real grill and bolt on the Ford Emblem. Is this possible? Please give thoughts and suggestions...
Thanx...

A "real" grill? How about a Police grill? There aren't even any screws holding the grill on the Gen I SHOs. Open the hood and remove the two plastic fasteners at the top corners. Then pull on the bottom of the grill to unclip the two spring clips at the bottom corners. The Ford oval is attached by two fingers with hooks on the ends. Just press the fingers outward to release the hooks and remove the oval.

Thanx sdpatt. Tell me what you think.

I know it is on a ******, but I saw just a plain grill at autozone and wonder if it would look good instead of what is stock. Sorry, but the police grill is not my thing. But I wondered about a real grill. Tell me what you think.

The mesh grills look good on that Civic, but I will reserve judgement on what it looks like on a SHO until I see it.
