Have been having trouble getting my Sirius traffic to show up on the navigation screen, after having my trial subscription expire, and only subscribing to travel-link and traffic. Travel link works, but "traffic nearby" and traffic on the navigation screen have a hard time showing up. A reboot SOMETIMES brings it back, but only until I power-cycle the engine. Next restart, it's all gone. Weather, sports (don't care), gas prices, etc, all work, but traffic doesn't.

In my research into the issue, I found a TSB for the GPSM (GPS module) saying that it may give a GPS icon with a red cross through it, inaccurate location, or a message "Navigation Stopped Functioning - Contact your dealer". The error message I saw three or four times over the past few months, and noticed the GPS icon with the red cross through it a few times, but the location seemed to be somewhat accurate, and it always updated my current location even though the icon was showing.

After the GPSM software update, haven't seem the GPS error icon yet, and my current location actually seems to be spot-on - as in the middle of the red arrow is my current location, not just in front of the tip of the arrow.

Anyway, pertinent info:

As for the steering wheel returning to the memory location, I noticed it wouldn't move back down as far as I had it every time I got back into the car. Maybe an inch or less above where I had it set. Had to manually put it back each time. So much so, that I eventually turned off "easy entry" or whatever it's called, and just dealt with it.

Then, after searching around and finding the fordservicecontent.com website with TSBs on it, I found the steering wheel module TSB. The update fixed the "return" problem, but it also seems to allow the steering wheel to come out towards me maybe another .5 or full inch. That's a lot. Not sure if it's my imagination, but it does seem to be closer to me when it's fully extended now.

Info:

Pointer for TSBs: Go to Google, and search:

site:fordservicecontent.com Taurus 2013

Or whatever search terms you want. Looks like even though there's no "index" page to the site, Google has managed to index a bunch of it - not sure if it'll be up-to-date if new TSBs are released, but for now, very interesting... Very interesting indeed.
