If you are searching for a very high performance replacement for your next set of tires on 16" rims, the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 is priced at only $119 for the 225/55WR16 size at Tire Rack. I just mounted my set and I am quite pleased with the handling, braking and the ride quality of these great looking and performing tires.

Tempting but they would have to go on the 91, I don't think they would fair to well in snow on my 97/98.

GS-D3s are untouchable by a Kuhmo and BFG.. Only tires that are par or better are Pilot Sports and S-03PP...

Actually, the Kumho MX is great competition for the Goodyear, especially at the price they go for. The Pilot Sport PS2 ourperforms the GS-D3 in the dry, but the GS-D3s really shine in the wet, delivering incredible grip.

The GS-D3s are great tires, but to say they're untouchable by either Kumho (MX) or BFG (KDs) is stretching it a bit.

The Kuhmo MX is a decent high performance tire with a good price, but the original statement about the Kuhmos used the terms, "Kuhmo supa." I suppose that he meant the Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712 - the ricer's favorite and less than a high performance tire. Compared to those, the F1 GS-D3 is in a very different league.

these are the tires that come stock on a Jetta GLi in 04/05. I was figuring on putting them on the summer rims for the GTi this summer.

hard to top the Firehawk SZ50s I had last year...
