No idea x2. Never used that website and I haven't heard enough about the dorman unit to say wheter it is a quality replacement or not. Are there other options?

For what it's worth if you need to send a core I would go local and pay a little extra. Things like refunds and chargebacks for cores and stuff can get real messy with little recourse with shipping from an internet seller. Get the same unit local with someone you can interact with face to face.

Strange, it says it fits when i check on my phone
The pictures also show it having the rear output shaft, so i cant see why it wouldnt fit
Though im not super knowledgeable about these parts in particular

No it dont fit. When i asked dorman this was the response i got
The G is non pp and F is yes pp with cooler. They were 950$ for the G now its 1150$. All within 2 weeks
The Ford ptus were updated. Ford always works with my company (skf) on oem bearings and seals. There is a better bearing design inside the ptu now. And the F variant got a fill and drain plug but its even harder to fill it now. As its on top.
Also the 6f55 transmission was updated with stronger lockrings and followers and other stuff.

The Dorman unit is junk, just like alot of their other products...made to be cheaper for a reason. And this one can't be used with the PP SHO as it has the cooler. The Dorman unit does not have the cooler.

Just stick with an OEM replacement. The latest iteration was updated as of late-2016 and has all the bells and whistles Ford thought it needed.

Unfortunately, the OEM PTU is outsourced to and manufactured by a company called JTEKT, a South Korean company. The bearings used in the PTU are all Iljin (another South Korean brand) bearings, not SKF. Attached is a few pictures from my newly purchased PTU showing this. I'm sure there are Timken/SKF/etc replacements, but I was unable to source any. Local bearing shop couldn't cross reference the numbers. It's likely that Iljin has assigned dedicated part numbers to their Ford-specific contracts. Doesn't mean their isn't an equivalent, just that the part numbers don't cross easily. I contacted Iljen a few months ago but never got a response. Maybe you'll have better luck.
