Last time I went, I had the entire saxacone still in. Ran a 10.3 in the 1/8. 60 ft was 2.4.
Now I have totally removed the sax, leaving a hole at the airbox inlet. It SOUNDS much meaner :D
Should I run it like this
OR
Install a 3 inch diameter flex. drier hose (chrome in color)?
I am only going back because the temps are 20 degrees cooler now.
I really want to see some 9's...
I am wondering though, would the cooler temps even help me if the airbox is pulling in air from the engine bay...

I didn't notice much of a difference with the K&N. But my thinking is "Well...If they saw so.."
It sure sounds meaner :p So I don't know if it would be worth buying the dryer hose...

If you're running on street tires, don't try to launch it! It just makes things worse! rant

I bet you'll get 10 evens or 10.1s with cold weather. There is a very noticeable difference in time with temp/humidity changes in SHOs.

WELD YOU CAMS! Bad bad bad when they throw! My car did it with out warning!

They will until the motor gets warm. wink

I would suggest installing that tubing to the wheel well to make sure the air going into the air box remains cool.

It should. I run the same intake setup and sub 50 degree (F) weather has gotten me sub 10 second 1/8th mile passes.
